THE WAY OF LAURINKY
Harmonelo HOPE 🦋
You could read Laurinka’s difficult story in one of the previous newsletters. Today we bring you the continuation of Laura’s life journey 👣.
🦋 Laurinka was born 11. 9. 2021 in Mlada Boleslav (in a hostel at 24tt to 25tt), she measured 31 cm and weighed 610 g.
🦋 Her arrival into the world was complicated because she was forced out by her mother by constantly hitting herself in the abdomen, causing a premature birth with severe bleeding in the baby’s brain.
🦋 The brain defect is quite extensive, the girl has no both hemispheres and she is missing a piece of brain in the back left part.
🦋 He has also had epilepsy since birth, but fortunately it is getting better and seizures are not so frequent. This is mainly due to the feeling of security and love that her grandparents give her.
🦋 Laurinka is 18 months old today (corrected 14 months) and still can’t hold her head and can’t sit up. None of the experts can yet say whether or not it will catch up with its peers in the development, which is delayed by about a year according to the tables.
🦋It’s a long run, but the Shekmarovs don’t want to give up. Most of all, they want the little girl to be able to stand on her own two feet one day. Laura is a fighter and believes she will continue to have the strength to strive for a better life.
