Be careful with fermented probiotics!
Live bacteria at the time of production are just the beginning. How many are left by the time the product is used?
Dear Harmonelo Friends, a high number on the label doesn’t tell the whole story. With some liquid fermented probiotics, the number of live bacteria can decrease during storage—sometimes even falling below the stated dose. The composition, the technology used, and storage conditions all play a role.
How can you make sense of all this? Mgr. Radek Netušil, Ph.D., a biologist and member of Harmonelo’s scientific advisory board, explains what happens to the bacteria in the bottle. He draws on his experience in developing customized probiotics.
From the lab to the TV cameras
Radek Netušil graduated from the Faculty of Science at Masaryk University. As a laboratory director, he helped develop customized probiotics.
He also shares his experiences with the general public. Check out his TV appearances and interviews:

Why does Harmonelo have its own stabilizing solution?
We have developed our own stabilizing solution for our customized liquid probiotics.
Although production is more expensive, it serves a clear purpose: to protect the viability of the bacteria throughout the entire shelf life when stored according to recommendations. In this presentation, you’ll learn why stability matters.
Ask about the number of live bacteria per dose when taking the product. The manufacturer’s specifications alone are not enough.
Set aside 26 minutes. Dr. Netušil will explain the connection between fermentation, stability, and the information on the label. This provides a useful foundation for making your own choices and for discussing these topics with customers.
